I'm a big fan of Donna Grant's Dark Sword/Dark Warriors series and I have decided to read her other works. This series seemed like a good place to start. Who doesn't like time-traveling warriors who fight evil? Add in the Fae and a strong heroine and it was a done deal. I really enjoyed this book. I loved how strong Mina was and I want to know more about the other Shields. They have to have some seriously interesting back stories. The only part I didn't like was Hugh's waffling back and forth about his feelings for Mina and whether she was innocent or not. I did like the nice twist at the end and can't wait to see how that is resolved! I can't wait to read about the other Shields and hopefully we get to learn more about Aimery. On to book two! There are some sexy bits in this book.
