I'm not one who usually cries while reading a book but I found myself crying in several different parts. This book was beautifully narrated by Death himself. You come to love the characters even the crass Rosa who I was sure from the moment she was introduced that I would dislike her the whole book. Overall, I thought this was a brilliantly different perspective of WWII because it was told from the prospective of Germans that hid a Jew and how they came to love him. You come to love Liesel and her books and her love of the people around her. It was a lovely book full of wonderful words and imagery.
