The world this book was set in is amazing and I love the mix of paranormals it has. The thing that bugged me about it was the super dominating alpha male. I wanted to smack Lachlain for the first half of the book. I loved Emma though. How can you not like a half vampire/half valkyrie? I like how for most of the book she wasn't the kick butt heroine that gets written about in paranormal romance, but it was also a relief when she finally started to defend herself. It will be interesting to read the rest of this series.FYI: This book contains some sexy times.
